Enable VJ mode in milkdrop in the new winamp, your desktop background becomes a visualization.
dude that's cool. We just use Mediaplayer because it also rips the cds easily. i need to get my own computer
That seems like it would cause crazy lag.
So far wiamp is using 30% of my 3.0E. Not much if your just doing some browsing.
I would argue Quick Look is a cooler feature, but pretty nifty with the moving background none-the-less.
Do you guys actually use visualizations? I've always disabled them....
That would be pretty sweet if winamp wasnt such a bloated poopsack
With it on, im at about 4-7 percent CPU usage while staring at it.
I cant see keeping it on though
Wow that is cool, gave me a reason to update winamp.
I never used visualizations unless I was walking away and didn't want my screen saver to pop up. Now I use it all the time.
I never use visualizations. I've always thought the only reason to do it is if you are on mushrooms or something
same, but not anymore.
i use them because i like the way it looks in the UI.
i can't get enough of this winamp skin.
there's already some active desktop programs out there. it doesn't go with a VU meter. but my friend has something like northern lights on his desktop, and it does it's wavy thing similar to the PSP.
anyways, he really likes it. i don't bother with all that fancy stuff. i rarely look at my desktop anyways. even if it had visualizations. because honestly don't "watch" them.
i love the gforce viz, the newest version does screensaver too.
this thread rules. Thanks guys.
Still using 2.81...
if i had a second widescreen, id dedicate its background to visualization.. other than that... foobar wins for me.
