    I've played Morrowind for four years. On Xbox.

    I can't imagine what will happen when I get the PC version. Mods. Oh God, mods.

    Oooh, i did a pretty fun quest in Cyrodill, "A Brush With Death", give it a go. I wont ruin it :)

    And slight spoiler:

    :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
    I killed every damn one of those Mythic Dawn Cultists in the HQ, I wanted my shit back so i went back to the blades place, grabbed a sword and headed back with a vengence. Every one of them is dead.

    The fuckers.

    ::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

    And for gear, ive found more stuff now. I have an odd appron that gives me agility and is pretty good AR rating.

    Guides?! I only resort to guides/faqs when I'm stuck and it's aggravating me. Sounds like it would ruin the game.

    So tonight I finally felt well enough to leave the house and pick up Oblivion.

    I want to make it known that Morrowind was among my most favoritest games ever.

    After leaving the sewers, I swear to you, I got a little wet.

    See everyone next month.

    hey, so can anyone tell me where Ongar the fence is?

    i swear, this game is even harder than morrowind to find out where you need to go.

    also the "unfriendly competition" quest has got me soo pissed with sitting and waiting, im a fraid i may just abandon it.

    Hes North of Imperial City in a place called Bauren or something like that, if you quest look him and click on it, it will auto take you there.

    Grrr... needing to find shady merchants to sell stolen shit to... and it chokes me that guards in other cities call you a thief when you accidentally pick up a fork in a tavern....

    Other than that... it's sweeeet.

    I just got done closing the first gate. The graphics on the portal were awesome and the sound as well. It almost felt like a solo instance in WoW or something. Good stuff...This game is amazing.

    So I've got one gripe....Attacking with groups. When running the quest to escort the guard to raise the bridge gate, a group of guys came saying they wanted to help. So it's me, 2 guards and the gatekeeper. We fight a couple of enemies, I go to attack one and the gatekeeper gets in the way, I kill him accidentally and I have 2 guards coming after me. They have a good armor, which is nice, but it's still a pain sometimes.

    I love this game but I find it much harder to play as a thief then as a generic knight.

    There are times when you cannot avoid encounters with more than 1 or 2 enemies, especially in the oblivion portals. My weak ass Khajit Assassin gets fucked up royally when he cant sneak attack first.

    And those city guards.... cant even damage them, I get raped.

    yeah, i've noticed that this game doesnt seem to pander to thief/sneak attackers as much as the previous one.

    thiewving is soo damn hard now! the lewt isnt hardly worth it in most places anyway.

    btw, anyone else waiting for the mod to end the "redhand" and allow us to sell stolen goods? (to me, it's not likely that a shop keeper a world away will know if those pewter cups are stolen or not)

    If you join thieves' guild then you can sell your stolen goods to select people.

    I'm just mad because my crappy level 4 warrior could probably own my level 9 thief, even though he has vastly superior equipment. Some enemies, like trolls, are very tough for me, and i need to heal during every battle with them even though they are just shitty trolls. It gets annoying in a dungeon of 20+ trolls that I have to go one by one and heal and wait after every battle.

    Sorry to sway off topic but I just got a real good hang of the speechcraft/persuasion system. Everyone loves me :D

    It's not hard. It just takes an obnoxious amount of time.

    Yeah, speechcraft is great for getting better prices out of people but theres no real reason to have it as a main skill, its pretty easy to do even on novice.

    I'm not too far in yet, but I feel like the game's been kinda dumbed down a lot from Morrowind. Less choice as to factions you can become a part of, and it feels a bit more linear. I remember reading an interview where they said that they wanted to make the game so that you could do all of the guild quests with one character as opposed to morrowind, where you had to choose one side or the other, and I find that kinda stupid, since it makes sense for there to be competing factions.

    hey I figured out a little flaw(if thats what it is), go to layawiin and visit rosalinas (sp) house. There are 4 demons in there that are easy to kill, and don't do much damage. If you want to master other skills with them, just pick up another weopon you would like to use that isn't your major (like hand to hand or axe if you use blades) and keep killing them.

    or you could do the quest and always have them around.
