But... but... what ELSE is France supposed to do with all that nuclear waste they've been ocean dumping?
It was only a 3% rise above normal, and only for a few months, but still. Dumping radioactive waste into the oceans is the more retarded thing I've ever heard of.
I'm really not going to worry too much about it. Radioactive elements such as Uranium are already a naturally occurring part of seawater in the first place.
Ha, submarines and air craft carriers do it all the time when out to sea greater than 12 miles from shore. Just pump or blow all radioactive water overboard. Believe it or not, it's common practice and has been for a long time. Gotta get rid of that stuff somehow. And water works great at shielding radiation (10" of water between a source of radiation and anything else drops levels down to 1/10 of what they originally were). There is radiation everywhere around us. Just get an X-ray and your body absorbs more radiation than you would get eating that fish every meal of. Every day for your entire life. ~Will Courtier~
Good ideas and good implementations are two different things... We humans have always been better at the former than the latter! I think this just might be the core principle of Conservatism in a nutshell...
