Hey guys, im still on the subject, but this will be irrelevant for my old thread.

So i scrapped the AMD x2 Core and I've turned to the Intel Duo E6600.

I've been told to get this motherboard : http://www.microdirect.co.uk/ProductInfo.aspx?ProductID=14258
( The Asus P5WDH Deluxe Because its been know to overclock a E6600 to 4 ghz )

Ok, so I have this board. - What Graphics card?

I have been told this card runs ATI cards better then NVidia Cards. Can anyone confirm this?

Personaly, I had my heart set on a 7950 GX2, but having heard that the board doesn't like NVidia cards as much, I'm gonna settle with a x1900xtx or xt.

I prefer Nvidia, but it's pretty close performance wise at the moment.

both brands got their pros and cons, but it changes each generation.

Get what's the best bang for your buck!!!! Personnaly, I jumped between ATI and nvidia depending on the generation (Radeon 64 mb, GF ti 4400, ati 9800 pro, gf 7900 pro)

no need to be a fanboi

but usually, Ati are doing better imagewise and nvidia are better speedwise (but with very marginal differences)

Well, I've found out that the X1950 launch isn't too far away and im hoping that it will cost the same as a 7950 GX2. With the X1950.. the 7950 has supiriority over clockspeed, but the X1950 will apparently give the 7950 GX2 Quad SLi a run for it's money. At the moment, the X1950 looks to be amazing.

Yeah wait for the X1950XTX to come out and look at the usual benchmarks. The stuff leaded so far is directly from ATI and we all know what that means (hey, everybody does it).

One thing to think upon is that I do not believe that your motherboard supports SLI, so if you go 7950, you are kinda "stuck" there until a new single board solution comes up that beats it (G80 first round probably will). However I do believe that board is Crossfire compatiable, so you can add another X1950XTX later if you wish .... just a thought.

Also to think about, its not beyond either AMD, Intel, nor ATI (okay AMD again) to make it so that the others product does not work AS WELL in the future with their competitor's product ..... just keep an eye out is all.
