Decided to update one of my PC.

The electric duster is worth every penny. Better then any compressed air can.

similar setup to mine! i second that about those electronic dusters, i told the people at work i needed one, probably one of the most useful purchases.

heh your system's quite simillar to mine, nice processor though.. any overclocks done? i'm pushing a i5 2500k though with a hyper 212 evo (push + pull)

i need to get a new monitor though my new ips is pissing me off. also, no storage drive?

Yeah, that electric duster will pay for it self in 6 uses. I use to go through 3 cans, every time i cleaned all my systems.

O.C it to 4.6, very stable and that Maximus V is a great board. The heat vs speed didn't seem too efficient. 4.2 seem to me the best O.C level. In Ghost Recon FS, and Skyrim with High Res Texture pack i didn't see any significant boost when i went from 4.2 to 4.6, except in heat produced. At 4.6 processor at full load hit 48 to 50. At 4.2 it was only 43 max load.

I always keep the number of mechanical drive in all my system to minimum. All storage is done on my super towers that are set as network storage. Because in all my system the compound heat produced by hard drive is always more then the base systems.

My other system with z68, 2500k combo. I noticed i have to O.C the chip at around 4.8 to match the performance of 3570k when its at 4.3ish O.C. That's when the difference in chips architecture really shows.

Nice, clean build. And high-five for using Asus. I've never regretted buying a motherboard from them.

At what point does an "upgrade" become an entirely new computer, lol. Only thing that isn't new is the case by the looks of it. :D

Yeah the attachments come in handy cleaning stacks of HDs. If you cleaning fans and coolers, make sure you don't let fan spin from the air pressure, it shorten fan's life.

When i saw the filter, i figured it be annoying to clean that filter. So i just cut out another filter, about the circumference of the whole cylinder. Attached it using same kind of clip they have on EVO coolers for fan. The dam thing is like a R.C jet exhaust, with that much air pressure i really dont need to use it for too long. So the metal cylinder dont get too hot. But yeah prolong use makes the cylinder very hot. The best part is, the fan is made of metal not plastic.
