I have no idea, but your sig reminds me of the Cylons from Battlestar Gallatica.

The old REAL ones, not the craptastic new ones.

I'm sorry, but, to be honest I find diamond plate to be synonymous with white trash/red neck.

So you plan on pushing in that piece of plexi to turn your computer on(using the sheet as a button)? That does sound pretty cool and original.

The thing that looks be your problem is the CD drive. Why put it on top like that? It would be so much easier to just put it in the front, you wouldn't have to modify that drive cage.

i dont think the drive will fit faceing upwards anyways, so ill probably trash that idea.

Upon thinking about this. I would suggest tapping a few holes in the front of the case, then putting studs or standoffs in, so that your front sheet of diamond plate is somewhat raised off the case. Then you could just use a machine screw and a nut to attach another piece of diamond plate to the side panels.

It doesn't seem like this casemod would be too hard at all to accomplish.

    eh? no.

ive been too lazy to post any updates, but its almost done. The CDROM needs some work, and i still need ot cut the case window. other than that, its fully operational.

    Still not completed.

    really light actually.

the metal is all 1/16' aluminum so it makes it lots lighter than my old case :)

The case looks great... the most modding i ever done was made an upright AT case into a laydown frame that had no cover... the motherboard and everything was exposed to the open. One of these days im gunna build a peice of crap comptuer liek that and take a peice of plexi glass and an old 20-30GB HDD and remove the top in a clean enviroment and replace it with a peice of plexi glass and seal it with some gasket maker (just like caulking) and see if it works.
