Network monitoring (user) tools?

    I sometimes get traffic on my network and as shitty as my ISP service is (3M down, 768 up) I'd like to know who to go yell at. I have the gateway modem ATT gave me but the software doesn't offer any kind of bandwidth monitoring (as I would expect).

    Is there any 3rd party software or command line stuff I can use (Mac OSX Lion)? I'm a total newb when it comes to advanced networking.

    You could get a cheap router and throw ddwrt on it, then put the att gateway in bridge mode.
