I know it's a big request but I figure some of you might have an old Android for example that's no longer relevant sitting in a box gathering dust.

We also need a modernish Mac, maybe even a dual-core Mac Mini that I can use for iOS testing (especially if it can run the latest OSX).

    Why do I need these?
I am working with James K (my brother for those that forget/don't know) on mobile game development and we need these devices to test ASAP. We have a game project (more to come later) that looks great and is fun to play already, and we are only a few weeks into the project. We are expecting release timeframe in about 3-months to Android.

James is doing all the graphics work and I'm doing most of the programming. We currently have only an iPhone 4S, iPhone 3S, and Droid for testing, but we need many more devices to test and publish the game without issues. We need the Mac for publishing to iOS.

Aside from the devices required, the software licenses are going to cost us over $4000.

I will pay for shipping and send a label if you have a device that we need. I will let you know if I don't need yours afterall and I will send it back once we're done testing (unless you'd prefer to donate for eternity).

I will also put your name in the credits of any game your hardware is used for, and I will give you a retail copy of our game for free once released.

Eventually I will call upon some people for testing remotely, let you guys beta test and post videos/screenshots. I will keep you posted as time progresses.

I've got squat, sorry Dan. I might have a spare Kindle Fire at some point, but it'll likely be months.

My wife and I's contract ends in September. If we decide to upgrade phones then I'll send you our old ones. Droid Incredible and a Droid X.

Will, maybe. I don't know much about the specs yet and I don't know the quality of this thing compared to some of them out there. Also I would gladly send it back either way, however I would probably need it for 1-2 months at this time. If it's not dual core, it's not fast enough for what we'd need though. We would need a pretty up to date chipset to really test the games, especially since any project is slated for the future.

I'll buy a Nexus 7 when I can find it (or something in the $200 range for a tablet) if it's a good one. I might have a couple options on a Mac soon and hopefully can do some testing with the iphone in the next couple of weeks.

I thought the Nexus 7 was supposed to be $199? I've been Googling around and seems like $249 is the best price I can find.

And it's already here! I had it unboxed and ready to go in like 1 minute. Then again I'm a pro consumer and I have a box cutter... :)

It's charging now and I'll have some feedback after we go to lunch. It looks pretty nice, smaller than I'd imagined but seems high quality especially considering the price.

How simplified has technology gotten that the line between pro and joe schmoe is drawn at "can you get it out of the box"?

I'll opt in as a beta tester. I've got a Galaxy SIII (i747 model) and it's stock. I'm not tweaking this sucker for awhile yet. :D

After playing with this thing for five minutes I gotta say... not gonna happen.

As an extra device and for the price this thing is cool but as a complete product the OS feels like junk compared to my phone. Not hating since I now own both but its not nearly as polished. The auto suggest stuff is nice and I like the big screen though. Tablets win for typing!!!

Really? I hate the virtual keyboard on my iPad. Even more so since I got a Bluetooth keyboard.

I'd much rather have a REGULAR keyboard, but comparing the keypad on my phone to the big one on this, plus the bigger screen so I can see all the formatting etc. on these forum posts.

    /typed from a regular PC
