I've officially released my mod!!! The Files can be found here. JG House Armory at The Elder Scrolls Nexus - Oblivion mods and community Anybody who downloads it, gimme some feedback either here, or on the tesnexus.com website. ------------------------------------------------ I'm working on a house mod. I'm going to have a questline to get the house, and I'm going to have NPC's inside the place when I finish. Here's some screenies of what I have so far. Armory: The Pedastals are for Manequin's (sp?). Armory Pic 1 Armory Pic 2 Armory Pic 3 Library: I'm a book collector! Library Pic 1 Library Pic 2 Library Pic 3 Hallway for sleeping quarters and dining hall. Living Quarters Hallway Living Quarters, Servant 1 Living Quarters, Servant 2 Dining Hall Master Bedroom Pic 1 Master Bedroom Pic 2 Garden and Waterfall. Garden Waterfall *edit* Nobody said anything but this thread was breaking the front page, so I modified it and added the second set of pics to this post.
All of those display cases are pretty pimp. I've got a decent amount of loot at this point, many complete sets of armor specifically, and that would be awesome. So where are you going to place the house? I vote for some wild location, near to a major city, but in a forest or something.
Namelessentity, I'm using Bloom instead of HDR. HDR looks great, and actually makes my armory look even better but it's too overdone in oblivion so I choose not to use it. The images above are also JPEG's at 200-250 KB each, and the actual screenshots are 5+MB BMP's. Alot of graphic quality loss to shrink the sizes of the file down. Scooby, I've been working on this for a little over a week now. Jackalope, I'm using Dark UI and DarNified text/menus. They look great together. JamesK, the TES Construction Set is actually really nice to use. The render window takes a little bit to get used to (I'm used to 3D modeling in Milkshape 3D) but once you get the hang of it it's actually really fluid and let's you get around very nice. Every object in Oblivion is in the CS to use. MSP, I haven't decided where I'm going to place the house yet. I've scouted 3 nice locations with waterfalls/rivers/lakes that look great but haven't decided on an exact location yet.
Nah, I reinstalled it the other day. It looks really dull and the character models all look incredibly unnatural. Even the outdoor stuff isn't as impressive anymore. I'm not calling it ugly, and when it was new it blew me away, but it's just weird that it looks so "meh" to me now.
Me personally I look at Oblivion and still love the look. What hardware are you running it on? I see it running side-by-side a lot on a Core 2 Duo / Nvidia 8800 system and a AMD Sempron / Nvidia 6800 system and it's not even close.
is it sad that I have never played this game? probably wouldn't run on my computer very well anyways.
I know a few people who own Oblivion for the 360 and later bought the PC version to use Mods. If you guys want to check out a really ambitious Mod, look at the 'NPCs with Jobs' mod. They're creating their own world, their own cities, and a true living economy with NPC's that actually grow old, have kids, build cities, travel to other cities on business/vacation. 26 of the biggest Modders are working on it and it sounds badass.
8800 GT, Core2 Duo 1440x900. I mean, it's not like it looks bad, it's just been 1-upped rather quickly I guess is what I'm getting at.
Bah, i just downloaded it. I hate the fact that I'll have to do everything again. i hadn't beat the game yet on the 360 because the disc became scratched (in the drive no less) but I was pretty far along...completed three of the guild quest lines and was past the part where you determine the spy (i think, been awhile and was waiting for an invasion or somethign).
This game is so fun, I probably wouldn't mind starting over. One thing you could do is either give yourself some skill / monetary / item compensation for the lost time, or download a saved game from online.
