I hope he promises Arizona a wall that can be seen from that moon base.

I do believe that we can now say that a certain amount of public gullibility is now being exploited.

We knew that before the campaign even started. Public gullibility got us to this point, and actually DEMANDED their way to this point. You could say the electorate is AGGRESSIVELY gullible... :)

Rather than a smart person, Gingrich is more a cunning person. He likes to appear as if he's smart, so he disguises his lobbying as "Professor" and "Historian", while making speeches that sound professorial, while actually just being party stump speeches. He's the White Politician version of Oswald Bates, the fictional character who uses big words without knowing what they actually mean.

newt needs to stfu and float off this earth.

its too late to renew the american space travel spirit.
that "spirit" has been handed over to private corp and global private agencies.

we dropped the ball a long time ago.

I guess I have this sort of "Martian Chronicles" mentality that we need to get our shit in one pile here on Earth before we go hog wild in outer space. I'm not saying we shouldn't explore, but I think the Newt's of the world just wanna go natural-resource-plundering-for-dollars and don't really give a fuck about the Moon itself.
