Yep... and now it's official. All that's left of American manufacturing is defense and aerospace. Fan-fucking-tastic.

Remember the days when we fixed problems instead of offloading them onto others? The Chinese wouldn't have bought this if they didn't think they could make a return on it; 10 bucks says they make Hummer profitable.

don't forget lead poisoning from the paint. Actually, they may just make it profitable. people are still going to want one and they won't be paying 55 bux an hour for labor/benefits for UAW work. It's going to be interesting what they do with the rig.

You can bet your ass the Chinese won't be allowed to do it! None of the Hummers for retail sale have anything to do with the Humvee under the skin anyway.

In 50 years the Chinese will look back to today and say, "This was the beginning of the end of our civilization as we knew it." Muhahaha

I don't know about you guys but I'm glad they sold the Hummer division. These oversized cars are so stupid. The people who drove them looked like douchebags too. I'd always see one at the local gas station cleaning it up. The road was a busy road too so it seems like he was trying to show it off. Nevermind it's just gonna be run by the Chinese. I hope it fails.

GM gets rid of ugly, worthless piece of shit that symbolizes every goddamn thing that is wrong with America. More at eleven.

Seriously, you can't off road with it, it's not fast, it sure as shit ain't pretty, gets amazingly shitty MPG and there are SUVs that hold more people more comfortably. That about sum it up?

Did I mention how ugly the shitburger was?

I'm all for big ass SUVs, but every time I see someone in one of these I automatically think "What an asshole."

That's one of the downsides of loosing economic superiority. now we have to learn another language rather than the opposite.#-o

I wouldn't mind having an H1 for off-road fun, but the rest are just fucking retarded. At least with a Jeep Commander or Ford Expedition you have comfortable seating for 6+, the H2 wasn't worth a shit.

But don't kid yourselves people - they will continue to be sold and driven here. Hell, they might even continue to be made here. The new Chinese owner will likely be able to shake the UAW barnacle off the ship and make it sail.

GM doesn't produce the Army Humvees. It never has. In fact there is almost no relation between the Hummer and the Humvee anymore. The Hummer H1 was loosely based on the Humvee, but that was about it. The H2 has no relation at all.

People who buy the Hummer because they think it has something to do with the Humvee are all IDIOTS!

    It's how it goes :-x.

My friend's brother works in IT at a well known company. The corporation is planning on outsourcing the department to India. This isn't a call center position either. He's a programmer of some sorts. If this is the trend, then the future looks dim :(.

They have always outsourced programmers to India and other countries. It is not something new at all.
