nasa has at least 4 duplicate curiosity rovers. there has been one failed attempt and one curiosity rover landed already. this is our publicized successful attempt at a different location. as per H.R. Hadden.
I think the big deal was the type of landing. Whatever, I thought it was awesome that they came up with that sollution and it worked well.
I'm pretty sure they have two rivers up there. One rover crashed into the surface because of an imperial/metric conversion error (one team didn't know the other was using a different system), and then this one. I'm not sure how the first landed, but I think the second landed using some big balloons and bouncing like a ball. Are you talking about those or some other secret curiosity rovers? I think there have been a few more rivers but I can't recall any of them off the top of my head.
justin knows whats up. im trying to say that nasa has already sent at least one other curiosity up there that we'll never know about, it more than likely failed or succeeded in landing. i overheard one guy during the celebration say "we did it again", of course that could mean anything, but you know me, im thinking theyve already sent a test curiosity rover up there at least a year ago. theyve been apparently working on this mission for at least 10 years now
