There is still some masking tape and newspaper but ya get the general idea. Wood-bees and wasps were starting to take a toll. All the white spots in the before pic are bug-nest powder spots. The bug problem also meant the undersides of everything needed doing.
Thank you. Now that I've had a chance to look at it, I like the way the far right beam, now that it's white, makes the entry-way directly at the front door more "unified", if that makes any sense.
Thx. Yes, MSP, it's tri-level. Just inside the front door to the left, a stairway descends to the nice huge finished walk-out basement where I hang out. At the back there's a 5'x7' picture window that looks out on the backyard and the path that leads down to the neighborhood pool.
It's not very wide, 4' max. We could fit chairs out there but it wouldn't be very practical. There's an actual covered deck in the back off the kitchen that's big enough for a table and chairs, the grill, a park-bench, and some big plant pots. The balcony's main function is decorative; those doors make a nice alternate fire escape for the upper part of the house, plus that's where I put my Halloween spider's web and jack-o-lantern.
Cool. Was curious how functional it was as trilevels here tend to be more ranch or cabin style so don't have the wraparound porch thing going on.
