Laptop turns it self on when playing game!!!!!!

hi, have a toshiba laptop. not bad spec about a year old.... windows xp.... when i play age of empires the conquerers... at random points during the game my laptop will just turn off....
this seems to happen only when playing online.... please help guys...

Um, is it plugged in (might be a power conservation thing), spyware/antivirus check, windows updates.

To be honest when any of my desktops have had that problem i just windup formatting them because i can never find the problem.

Same thing used to happen to me, and it was because the power connector is going bad. Is your battery life dead when you turn it back on? My friend with the same laptop as mine had his overheating and turning off.

nope,,,, battery is always at 100% .

it only happens when i am playing this game...... i can be online for 10 hours solid and it will be fine.....

Sounds like it's overheating to me.

I wouldn't expectt much heat from a 2d game like AOE2

Try reinstalling the game ? Patching?
