    Hey all.

I've got a laptop I'm trying to rig up to my television and am having problems. I've googled but just unsure the best solution.

My laptop has an HDMI and a VGA output. The TV is old so has S-video and normal video (Red Yellow White). What would be the best way to rig these up together for movies/etc? Can I do this without buying a $60 converter box?

I have a box that can do video/s-video in to cable (can't remember what they're called). Can I use this?

    Thanks

Yea, it pretty much fails unless you get the converter box.

Old shit does not play well with newer stuff. Otherwise electronics manufacturers would go broke. And it's called "built-in obsolescence".
