    shit. warning for those ready to build, might wanna wait a minute

    its apparently not the cpu itself, but the cougar chipset found on mobos.
    theres been something quirky with the sata controller, freezing across all mobos, and issues ive been reading about, im assuming it has to do with this.

    i guess my nzxt phantom will be sitting collecting dust for a while.
    by then, the crucial c400 ssd will be out.

    Well,they said H67 is Ok. You can still move with that if you want. Plus if Intel already recognized this issue, anything shipping from THIS POINT ON, should be fine.

    now im stuck like many others..

    try to find a 2600k/asus pro p67 from a private seller and RMA it later..
    wait till april, FUCKING APRIL YO, give me a break!! My money will have been spent on piddly shit by then...
    or just buy into an x58 setup, and sell the non salvagable parts later for SB setup...

    Option 1 sounds like a waste of time.
    Option 3 is a waste of time and money since used cpu/mobos have bad resale value.
