My roommate is moving to China in less than a week (I think) and I've been debating whether to get another roommate or move back into a one bedroom.

Now, the one bedrooms that are available with my leasing company are pitiful so I was debating about having someone takeover my lease and returning to my old complex (if room was available). BUT, it'll add another 10-15 minutes on top of my 15-20 minutes commute.

So, I figured I'd ask T3ders what your commutes were like so I wouldn't feel as bad about it. :p (No poll as I'm on my iPad.)

    Psh, who walks to work?!

Also, the commutes are far shorter than I thought they'd be, stupid LA upbringing commute bias. :(

    Commute? :)

I may be commuting to Anaheim Hills here pretty soon. That will be 20-30 minutes with no traffic to over an hour on the way home.

My commute to work is a 10-15 minute (depending if I get stuck at the light waiting to cross for long) walk. However, every Thursday I have to go into Brooklyn to sit on a grand jury... and that is a 6-7 hour round trip. No biggie though, it's only for up to the next EIGHTEEN MONTHS. :(

10-15 mins as well. Even that feels long with the amount of road rage I have. I'm pretty sure everyone who lives here reads a 6 as a 5, because they all drive fucking 50 on the highway.

24 mile drive each way, to work its not bad because i leave my house at FOUR FUCKING AM, drive all through town, catching every red light, two miles of freeway, then down a fairly uncongested road, park my shitbox honda in a disneyland sized parking lot and walk about one and a half miles to my hangar in the freezing ass cold(in the winter), carrying my lunch pail and about a gallon of water. leaving work do the same walk, over asphault and during the summer its hot as fuck, get in my oven of a fucking car and wait about 20 minutes to get out the same damn chicane as 2000 other people because of 9/11, then sit in traffic for another 20 minutes to get to the freeway, where i get on for two miles then go to school and get into another huge congested parking lot, after school more stop and go then im home about 16 hours later

    tldr 1 hour each way

fuck my commute, and people from my work will leave home as early as 2:30 am because they like living in orange county for some reason, i get an education every day in the same time they spend sitting in traffic

Thanks! My commute looks much better now. :)

(Also, never understood why people lived 2-3 counties away in LA traffic)

0.7 miles, I end up driving most of the time because I have to visit customers every so often, also to get food at lunch time.
