OK... So I installed Linux Mint on my home PC. Just want something to play with, figured that might be a fun change. But I have a few small problems.

First off, I am currently running the PC to my 62" DLP TV, via a DV-HDMI converter cable. It generally works great, but apparently this TV doesn't care for it much. It just cuts off the outer edge of the screen with the native resolution (1280x720). Is there any way I can force a custom resolution of 1270x710 (as I have done in Windows?)? I am running the hardware shown in my sig.

Also, I am fighting to get my printer working. I have a wireless printer, which I generally connect to wirelessly via my router (internet is via a hard cable to the router, with the router connecting to the printer wirelessly). However, I can not get the computer to recognize the printer. I have a Canon Pixma MX340 printer. It works perfectly in Windows (accessible from any computer, with the ability to scan/print/copy). Any ideas on how I can make this work? I don't network it via the computer, so should I toss a wireless card into the computer? Would that allow me to connect to the printer directly?

Aside from these issues, it works flawless. Lightning fast, very responsive, and well designed.

Thanks in advance for the help!

I can't speak to the resolution problem but I used to own that printer. I could never get my Eee PC to recognize it. No Linux drivers available from Canon back then.
