As much as I love the new Batman franchise, I don't think I could watch ANYTHING for 9 hours and enjoy myself. It's one of the reasons I put in a movie room, so I can start/stop the movies when I want, take a break, etc. Extreme ADD I guess...

I don't really like Begins, but I could probably do DK + DK:R. Too bad I work at 7am and didn't think to request the day off.

I just got back from Vegas last night at midnight and am about to leave work, so I fully anticipate taking at least a little nap during Batman Begins :)

Tickets were only $25... not bad to see DK again on the big screen and DK:R.

Yeah I regret missing DK on the big screen; that sounds like fun.

Damn, nothing like that in my neck of the woods. We do have Ted and the new Spideymon. Is anyone besides me surprised/bothered that Ted actually has a higher viewer rating on IMDB than Amazing Spideyman?

My son and I have already seen begins and DK in the last couple of weeks.

We also have tickets for Rises at the local IMAX for Saturday afternoon.

    Can't wait.

The only downside is that there's a problem w the AC in the theater we're in so it's been about 80° in there for the last six hours. Upside, if they can't fix it we're getting our money back. Downside, I'm wearing a wool sweater dress.

A wool dress in SoCal sounds like a bad idea.

Unless it's cute, then it's completely reasonable of course.

I went to see the movie the other night (and was shocked it was actually playing here in Botswana) and an hour in was enjoying it. Then the power went off due to rolling blackouts in the city. *sigh* Hoping to go back and finish the movie...

Oh yeah, totally forgot to mention I went to see this about a week ago. Took some convincing to get the lady friend to go see it given the Aurora thing. That said, after the first 30 minutes or so we both relaxed and were able to enjoy it, maybe not as much as TDK but still was pretty good.

Oh, and there was no emergency lighting, even at was supposed to be a modern mall (and generally it is) and the 'premier shopping destination of Gaborone', so everyone had to stumble out of the pitch black theater using phones as lights. Then they had a little lamp to give some light and stamped our tickets to allow us to come back another night.

Here is the ticket stamping in the dark P1280243 (Custom).JPG :

I saw it at the drive in. Not as good as the last one IMHO. thought it was relatively boring and slow. The ending was great though.

I'm going to wait for the BD like I do with almost every movie.

I'm so happy you said this. TDK was significantly better overall.

ya when I was watching TDK, I was at the edge of my seat and just like "wow this is awesome" almost throughout the whole movie. Pretty rare for that to happen. Definitely did not feel that way with the new one.

Saw this in D-Box for the first time. D-Box was interesting but probably wont do it again because of the $8 premium. The actual movie was fantastic.
