Holy shit! Just did a spot check of 2TB disks I was buying 6 months ago for $69-79 and they're now $199!

That's why I am in line at frys right now. Only 15 min wait but it should get me a 3tb internal for 150.

Glad I bought those 12 2tb drives when I did. I'm 'down' to only 10tb free, but my media collection isn't growing as fast.

Are SSD drives going up too? Maybe this will spur some more adoption of those.

I'm glad I bought my 1TB external when I did. The day I walked in there they were changing prices and I think they went up 30 or 40%. Eek

Nope. Flooding doesn't appear to have affected flash memory production.

Yeah. Good thing I bought all those drives awhile ago.

Although, if I turned around and sold a couple of them used for 150 each... Nah, I'd be down 4tb.

SSDs MAY go up a bit, since they'll be more popular now, with their newly narrower price differential compared to HDDs.
