I'm at work and it's quiet as hell. I'm trying to find stuff to do to keep myself occupied, and I'm running out of stuff. Things are running well, it's a quieter time of the year...I have NO idea what I'm going to do for the next 4.5 hours. Does anyone else have days like that?? I might catch up on some ROMs. Just got SimCity for the SNES...haven't touched that in FOREVER. Should be fun.
I get paid for what I do. That said, if I can afford it and don't want to show up, I'll not even need to work. It's the only consolation for working for an ass hole (me).
I spent 8am-12pm in our brand new 80,000 square foot office building setting up the network (fun for me) and I got to be the hero for the day when it finally went live. Then 4 hours of drinking coffee and eating this morning's left over bagels while watching my stocks online (which did VERY well). Then a celebratory business dinner at a fancy joint with most of our staff (some flown in) with lots of alcohol and great stories. Great Friday! Can't wait till Monday to get back to "work".
Another awesome day. The weather is sunny and 7C out. Tomorrow it's supposed to be warmers, and from the sounds of it, most of the snow should be gone by the end of the week. I almost want to pack up and leave early for the day because it's so damn quiet.
You don't want it right now. Trust me. I just took ownership of 4 websites (our subsidiaries) along with the FB fan pages and other social media accounts (ie: Twitter) today. All need a redesign. That's on top of the video work I already do for all 4 of those subs and the holding company (whom I work for). I guess this is what comes with the promotion to "Vice President of Media Services" that I received last week.
