Mortal Kombat is really good, the story mode is very well setup and goes together like the movie story "only alot better, although I did like the first MK movie." You basiclly play as all the good guys and it's story is of first 3 Mortol Kombats. the cut scenes and voice acting are pretty damn good. I'm not gonna give any spoilers, you really have to play it. "One strange thing is, you don't do Fatalities in story mode"
once theyre 'officially' released, i'll talk about them.. both are worth the buy, thats all i gotta say.
I can't wait for Portal 2. I need to finish Crysis 2 and Bulletstorm today so my backlog doesn't get too insane. I also wish I had the money for the gamepad edition of MK
The new Mortal Kombat got a 9.4 on GameTrailers and IGN gave it 8.0"I think IGN being alittle hard on the game" The story is still alittle cheesey, but it's told very well and flows very nicely together with the matches and cutscenes. Mortal Kombat, thus far, is awesome, and I've only gone through the tutorial and on chapter 7 of the story mode..I think. It's kool nonetheless.
me and a friend have been playing through the story mode, and just piddling around with various features of the game.. OH.MY.SHIT. this game is everything that ive ever wanted from the next mk game since mk3 or umk3. every background is fucking insanely AWESOME. there must be like 30+ of them because i see a new background everytime i play, and i know damn well you can do background fatalities. the sounds are so good, listening to them grunt and make noises during their offense and defense is insane. some characters feel slow and sluggish, scorpion feels like this after playing with sonya, i guess thats part of the character build process, which to me adds more detail. kano's strangle move is friggin hilarious, especially when done on sonya. cant wait to play more.
jade is pretty awesome, but i'll tell you what.. playing through story mode, they MAKE you enjoy, and be comfortable with ALL characters.. characters i didnt think i would be any good with, i really, really enjoyed playing as.. its quite amazing. we've finally gotten to jade's chapter, i think we're like half way through story mode. Its just too awesome. I had to bust out my old mk tshirt to wear, its just that awesome. the sounds, my goodness.. if you just sit back and listen to their voices and shit.. its amazing. i was hoping michael jai white was doing the voice for jax, but apparently its some other guy.. but it sounds just like him.
good gahhhh, we got up the final battle with shao khan, played that motherfucker over and over again for an hour and half... COULD NOT BEAT HIM. for fucks sake he was hard. then i went back to the menu and dropped difficulty to beginner (had it at medium). Beat khan in the first go. we laughed maniacally because we had been up for hours and hours too late, no sleep. we beat that fucker though, the story line is AWESOME, detailed, and explained alot of shit that i was always confused about. netherrealm+WB fucking rocks, and i want them to, of course, make the next mk. theres so much left to play around with, ive yet to see most of the fatalities, etc... so soon, i'll be checking that out. fucking game rocks and looks spectacular @1080p
i completely forgot about Mk...i missed out on the tournament edition controller! ...but i did go out and buy it yesterday because of this thread. thanks ladies anyone on ps3(SN's)? i have yet to play it but ill be off work in a couple days and will be knee deep into the game right away.

LOL, so "mr sub zero" himself just now got the game LOLULATE. just finished portal 2. I almost got teary eyed, kinda dissapointed there were no deers in the end. Glados teases you about seeing a deer when you never make it alive to the surface.
What are you guys doing??? it took me 15 mins. He wasn't any harder than first time he just didn't stop and pose as much. you can't be rushed with him"the bosses have that yellow flash that auto blocks if try to rush them", keep your distance wait for him to make he's move, then teleport and combo or uppercut or fly across screen thing. Alot of my friends are having trouble with him and the game, because their not use to using the block as much or timing your counters better."instead of have a counter move." If you get chance, try the thing I said you'll see it goes alot faster.
im going to play massive amounts of mk now that im on vacation. i want to try and shao khan on medium this time.. that shit seems impossible with raiden. the subway background fatality is brutal as fuck... daammnnn!!!
