I think it has more to do with not having a police officer posted outside of every building at a University. I mean, come on.. I went to a city university where the campus police officers carried guns but response time is still more than 30 seconds. Virginia Tech doesn't even have that kind of security.

The fact that I agree with this statement makes me feel a little uncomfortable about myself.

What I don't get is how people who are attending college/university to obtain an education can be so close-minded. Had I found myself in that situation, I would've left the classroom and waited outside to talk to my instructor instead of disrespecting him and my classmates.

I also looked into it more and found out that she had just been interviewed about that Trayvon Martin thing earlier, and that's why she was bent out of shape to begin with. Not that it's an excuse in the least... but it helps explain it. And yes Torx, the media loves to stir shit up.

As far as Trayvon Martin is concerned, the problem is if anyone is walking down the street minding their own business no one has the right to fuck with them if they are not doing anything wrong. So far their is nothing about Trayvon Martin doing anything wrong or if he had drugs in his system. I'm still waiting for the full report on what happened of course we'll never have Trayvons side of the story but we do know a stranger was following him and Trayvon will never know who it was and why he was being followed.

That's about where I am on the Trayvon subject. We'll not know what the true facts are because the media is having too much fun with the case. Controversy sells adspace.

I'm most definitely racist/bigoted/prejudiced/intolerant. However, I don't go out of my way to be an asshole to groups of people I dislike, nor am I actively trying to opress them. I just stay away from them and hope they do the same. If I ever have to interact with them, I'm as cordial as possible.
