Gimp 2.8 is out, including for Windows. I'm glad I don't use a tablet!

Because if I did, I'd have to stick with 2.6, and I am sick to death of that stupid multi-window interface! :) I had to do some moving about of the dock tabs, and telling Gimp to use the single-window mode (in the Window menu), but I like it! I've installed some favorite plugins: G'MIC and Wavelet Denoise, as well as Wavelet Decomposition and Wavelet Sharpen.

Since the pic uploading is borked, I'll just post the link to the file on my skydrive. (I have got to figure out how to make use of all this cloudiness! I have 7 gigs on skydrive, 5 on Google Drive, and 5 on the Amazon Cloud, though I'm not about to install any of the folder drivers for any of them.)

Edit: I meant I had that much available, not that I was using that much! ;)

What OS you using? If you have Win7 paint will blow away Gimp. :p

    You lose weight or something?

XP SP3 here. I pretty much squeak right past the minimum requirements to be able to run Gimp with both OS and hardware! I prefer Gimp to Paint.net, because of feathered selections and the humnongous selection of filters. G'MIC and Wavelet Denoise are my favorite add-on plugin filters. (Edit: that is, if you meant Paint.net, and not just old "11 colors are plenty" Paint! :D)

I HAVE lost weight, but all that weight was lost before that picture was taken! That was my 17X lb pic, and I'm currently my 152 lb self! The bad point of this accidental side effect of lowering my cholesterol using copious amounts of dark chocolate as my medication of choice, is that all my clothes fit like tents, and now I have to wear clothes stored away from my teen/college years. I guess I could also smuggle flat-screen TVs out of stores with them... ;)
