The last few minutes were really good. The last play especially.

Romo is still banging Simpson, so he wins either way. [/tonge in cheek]

Does it piss anyone else off to see players smiling after plays (especially when they just blew a play)? This is totally unacceptable to me. Their whole heart isn't in winning the game, they are too rich and life is too good. Win or loose what do they care? They are out there to get paid first, have fun second, and win third. Where is the intensity? What are the stakes? There were times tonight I couldn't tell if it was pre-season or post-season. There is no question that most of the players play to win, everyone and everything else be damned, but still. [/rant]

I watched the whole game, the entire 4th quarter my dad and I were standing up. The best part was watching that asshole Jerry Jones at the end, except it is hard to see his expression nowadays with all the face lifts.

Jerry Jones. Was that that jackass owner who decided to come stand beside the coach for the last quarter? WTF was that shit. Totally distracting. He's out there yelling and all sorts of shit, I just couldn't believe anyone would be that crass. Wade Phillips might as well have given him the clipboard. What a joke.

Yeah, Jerry Jones is the owner who runs down to the field at the end of each game to be there when they win and to take credit for everything good. When they lose he goes and fires the coach.

Meh, there's nothing they can do about Jerry Jones. I guess as a fan you just have to accept it. Disappointing yes, but at least it wasn't a blowout either way.

Now I have the distinct pleasure of getting an earful from everyone and their brother about how the Cowboys blew it. [IMG]

I'm glad the Cowboys lost. Everybody was slobbing on Romo's dong all season but I've never felt he's as good as they say he is. He's a choke artist and can't pull through when it counts. It must suck to be him. Two playoff games in two years completely blown with the ball at your hands. First the screwed up field goal hold and now the interception.

I'm bummed about the Colts though. They're a much better team than the Chargers but I don't know what happened today. I've been rooting for Green Bay all season though cuz Favre is a feel good story and he should go out on top. (Mind you, I always root for my Dolphins first but I'm talking about who I'd realistically want to win).

I just saw T.O. in the press conference. I'd never thought I'd say this but I actually feel bad for the guy. I kept thinking all season "Yea, he's a good guy now and likes his quarterback as long as they're winning but once they lose he'll rip him apart to the press and then get traded". He actually defended Romo and cried, too. Maybe he really is changing for the better.

I'm ecstatic about the cowboys losing. I hope the Giants get to the Super bowl considering they gave the Pats a hell of a game. God I hate Dallas.

If anyone feels bad for TO read this thread:

T.O. is crying right now ! - FF Today Forums

Hilarious, especially if you hate the cowboys.

He's about as much of a choke artist as Eli is. Somebody had to win tonight, but unfortunately it wasn't Dallas. If the Cowboys did win, everyone would be talking about how Eli proved once again that he can't perform when it counts.

How did Eli come close to choking? He had a great game, there would have been no one to blame for a lose they were a 7.5 point underdog. Your just a sore Cowboy fan:-D

Eli has choked every year up until this year...This is his second playoff win (last week was his first) and has been at best a mediocre QB. They've been on a roll though and I hope they bring the SB back to the NFC East.

Romo blows, why do people even like this guy?

Did you see whenever he was about to get sacked. Instead of throwing the ball away he would ALWAYS try to make a play. They probably lost a good 30~ yards because he was being greedy.

I can see getting blindsided and not having time to do anything but he would run around for 5-10 seconds with plenty of time to throw it out of bounds and he just held onto it and took it like a bitch.

    Meh.

I guess it's because you don't watch him play every week, but 9 times out of 10 he can avoid the blitz by ducking down and running forward, usually passing for a decent gain. The guy played great for virtually the whole season up until a few weeks ago, then all of a sudden he gets in a slump and everyone is dogpiling him.

Whew it is tough being a Colts fan. They should be great based on their regular season play, have one of the two best QB's in the league, but fail. It seemed like they didn't want it this year, that's about all I could draw from that game because they were playing against a backup QB and no LT for a while there, granted the Chargers O line was doing fairly well and the D was also playing good. I doubted the wisdom in resting them all against the Titans and flopping on that game, and then the bye week. It always seems to be the bye bye week for the Colts. Not sure who to pull for now, I like what is going on with the Giants and the Packers. Guess we'll see if the Chargers can do well against the Patriots a second time around, the win against the Colts should provide a nice boost for them.
