    IDE or SATA? Why not just delete the partitions and format it FAT32 or NTFS? I think the Linux partitioning stuff would scare away a lot of people.

    IDE, I think im not familiar with laptop hardware.

    yea, i can't delete the partitions because A) The laptop is a POS and i couldn't get it to work like i wanted B) The laptop has now been disassembled and is awaiting execution.

    I would buy it but I need SATA.... :(

    But you could hook that sucker up to an external USB 2.0 adapter and format it. I picked one up from NewEgg for about 30 bucks and it's one of the more useful tools I've ever bought.

    I have a Ext HD thinggy, but not one that supports this type of drive its got pins, no where to attach a cable to.
