Looks interesting but not very realistic so I wouldn't call it a "flight sim".

hawx is supposed to be a badass game.. but from the screenshots ive seen and videos, looks like waayy to much is going on.

in plus, those military jet fighter games get boring real fast to me.
if i cant fly through the citys and shoot people and buildings, i dont want it.

edit: im wrong, you can fly through the cityscape and kill people... ROX!

I tried the demo as I was looking for a new flight sim as well...unfortunately its about 10% flight sim and 90% arcade game. It looks nice enough but the gameplay is nothing special, I won't be buying the full version.

I hear its a great arcade game. But no, you don't even land the plane. Hardly a sim :p

If you're looking for a good flight sim IL2-Strumnikov is amazing.

just tried the demo out for pc, its great fun, but its super arcady, feels like ace combat, if you want a flight sim, try IL2 or LOMAC

    hahhaha
i just found on the xbox360 community game section. .. someone created an RC flight SIM!
rock on! i tried it, it sucks, but very cool idea if you could get your rc tx to bind with the 360. flying an rc airplane with the 360 controller isnt very realistic. the servo response feels about right, but like i said.. kinda useless without a real tx(radio transmitter)

this brings me to an idea.
if ms or game developer would release an rc flight sim + a universal adapter to connect your radio transmitter to the 360 plus marketplace upgrades like planes, helis, and terrain.. i think it would sell. For those without radio transmitters that would like to play around.. maybe the package will include a radio transmitter..

wow. i need to bring this to someones attention.

WWII-era MMO flight sim. It's a flight sim where alot of the really advanced stuff is taken care of you. You can try it out, I think there's still a free trial.

Some key features I loved about Aces High:

-You can black out from pulling too hard of G's
-You can red out from pushing too hard of -G's
-You can cause structural damage to your own plane if you're reckless, like trying to force a weak structured plane out of a high speed dive. Your wings will tear off!
-You will run out of ammo and fuel and have to resup (resupply) by landing on an air field and taxi'ing over to the fueling stations.
-Other players can tell you to 'Check 6' with a simple key command, but you better keep your eyes out.

The A6M5 is my favorite plane to fly in that game. One of the tightest turners, accelerates well, can stay airborne at low speeds. Just keep away from climbers, don't chase them going up.

Oh and there aren't any "sides" to choose from. You choose between Knights, Rooks, Bishops. You can fly any plane from any side. There are a few retired fighter pilots that play the game, and even some Blue Angels. You'll know who the Blue Angels are when you see 4 planes flying at 8-10k off the deck in a perfect diamond formation. Stay the frak away from them if they're red to you.
