After reading the recent thread about emulators I decided to do download some today.

I downloaded MAME32FX File version 0.113.0.0 which is an arcade emulator.

I am currently at work and I have it playing roms. I am just wondering If I can play games using my keyboard or do I need to use a game controller? I have a controller at home I just wanted to test it out with the keyboard since I have it in front of me. I looked around for options to allow use of the keyboard but nothing seems to enable it.

I also downloaded snes9x which is a super nintendo emulator and that works with the keyboard just fine.

    thanks :)

Yes you can use the keyboard. When you are in a game press tab and you will be able to configure your button/keys.

Save yourself some time, get at least an 80GB hard drive and just download the whole mame set;) (roughly 50GB for the whole set including chd images)

You can find it on most torrent sites.

one thing to know about tekken is chd file game and unless your running duo core 2 chip or something high end tekken tag is only 12-15 fps.
on my home computer with 2.5 ghz amd i get 12-15 frames
on my emulator rig with 2.6 duocore2 running at 3ghz i get full frame rate.
it still really buggy and glichy so i dont think worth it. BUT

    pm me address.
