Email is bullshit there's really no way for an average joe to know for sure if an email is genuine. If you don't believe me then fill out this form http://archive.hafley.com/t3d/president/ and you'll get a nifty email from the president of the united states.

Any way it's a joke, and if you use things like email ssl certificates then you get an ugly little attachment sent to you in webmail apps which is stupid. you could check out the headers but who the hell does that.

Is it hopeless? What would be a good way to verify a genuine sender? I guess there's two aspects to this

    1. how to proove it's them sending it and
    2. how to tell the reciever that it's genuine
    3. making sure the notification can't just be copied

I'd know it's genuine because I'm sure he can spell.

I'm not trying to say that E-mail is secure by any stretch of the imagination, but, this is an obvious spoof:

I'm a natural born skeptic. If I don't personally know the person/organization sending the e-mail, i count it as spam....bye-bye.
