I'm looking around for a new laptop for college, and I found this company called DiscountLaptops.com. The model I'm specifically interested in is the Sager NP4381. If I configure it with a 3.2ghz P4, 1gig ram, 60gb hd, wireless, dvd/cd burner, and the included radeon 9700 mobility, it comes to around $1400.
I think this is a really fucking good deal, but I'm curious if anyone has dealt with them before. They do happen to have a 10.00 rating at resellerratings.com, but I'd like a second opinion. Any thoughts/ideas/comments? Thanks.

Speaking of which... does anybody know of a good place to get used/refurbished laptops? I'd like to get an old one to experiment with Linux without screwing up my PC.

decent deal -- no os or wifi, so tack on another 50 or so if you get it included from the site, and tack on another xx$ for o/s of choice (if course, whatever price you want to pay for that). Its a good deal depending on what your lookin for... Personally, I got a small laptop, 12.1" widescreen lcd, less than 5 lbs, etc. for easy mobility when going to class. That thing looks like it weighs a ton, and a pain to walk around with. If your looking for more of a desktop replacement, then go for it -- however, i dont live on campus, so i still have my desktop pc for gaming/intensive applications, and use the laptop mostly for programming and surfing the web.
