Shoehorning a turbocharged STI engine and intercooler into a 1965 Volkswagen Beetle. A host of other modifications like 4-wheel cross-drilled disc brakes, twin-plate clutch, ProDrag Rhino transmission and variable traction control, plus in-car touch-screen tuning. Insane! wait. That car had a cage and everything. Look at the roof! I guess a cage doesn't do much.. ninjaedit: apparently it was a bolt it cage that just didn't do shit. moral of the story: for heavy cars, a weld in is a necessity
I would hope there's no lag on those turbos. Otherwise: Lamborghini, meet tree. Tree, meet Lamborghini.
I'm pretty gay for old japanese wagons. And the civic hatchback wagon is probably one of the coolest. Especially the AWD ones.
saw that video the other day, loved it! it made me feel happy all over, and want to go hug my car. .... but I won't because its -33C out The AWD Corolla wagon was pretty badass in its day to! The early 90's Honda's and toyota's were some of the best built, well engineered cars ever IMO. Stock the civic isn't really AWD, it only gets 10% torque split to the rear, but I've read that apparently its really easy to do something or other that allows it to split 50/50. if that's true then thats a testament to honda's quality if the rear drivetrain can withstand that much power it was never designed for. Anyone know much about this? 330 HP in that little rust bucket would be insane.
Saw this up in Canada, freaking awesome van. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mitsubishi_Delica 4x4 turbo diesel. "IS EXCITING VEHICLE!!"
