Good day Guys Im Quintin WIlliams,:)

Last week I traded in my truck for a car, I figured that no only would I save on gas but I would save on insurance as well. My truck was a 2002 F150 4X4 and the car I got was a Mitsubishi Galant. Much to my surprise when I called the insurance company they told me it would cost more to insure! I guess they consider this car a luxury car! How much BS is that?? So Im planning to change my insurance company.. I have been surfing the net for good insurance, i came into http:/www.insurancepay****.com has anyone tried online insurance? how effective is the online quote system? can i depend my money on this? or can anyone tell me a good insurance company to check out that may be cheaper or won't consider a Galant a luxury car? Thank you in advance.

Allstate does the trick for me, but I never drove a Galant either (current car: '07 Toyota Yaris). Call around and you'll find out though... I think Progressive gives you other insurance rates, so check that out.

I'd avoid companies that no one has ever heard of in your immediate community...it will only lead to headcaches if you ever do get in an accident.
When your looking at insurance rates check the current value of the car....I'd bet anything that galant is still in a higher KBB than the F150 and thus why they are charging you more...that will be the same anywhere. That and the cost to fix a mitsubishi is like 10x the cost of the f150.

on a side note i test drove a yaris this weekend...it scared me half to dealth...no pick up...brakes felt hella mushy...and the body roll was awful on the turns. On top of that the gauges were horribly placed out of peripheral vision so you had to look over to see how fast you were going taking eyes almost compeltely off the road. I dont get why anyone would ever buy one cept for the fuel economy.

Sidenote: Love the design, driving one everyday for almost a month and the things you mention don't bother me (I actually never noticed them, maybe that's cause I've been driving econoboxes all my life) and I actually like the gauges, so it's all good for me. To each his own I guess.

I am insured through Geico. That is only because I am in the military, though. I am also a member of a credit union that they are affiliated with (Navy Federal Credit union). I get huge discounts through them. For me to insure my 1992 Isuzu Trooper (very expensive, as it is an SUV) with full coverage, my wife's 1993 Geo Prizm (liability only), and my 1986 Volvo wagon, it costs me about $700 every 6 months. My wife has been in two accidents that were her fault, and I have a speeding ticket that was in excess of 20mph above the speed limit. I insure my motorcycle through Progressive, though. For full coverage ($1,000 deductible), they charge me ~$50 per month. I love having a bike.... :)

Quinton: That site you posted is just a reseller that uses an affiliate link w/ referral ID when moving you to the real insurance company. The site is also about 1-5% the size of this one (in other words, it's TINY and shouldn't be trusted).

I removed the link from your original post to make sure nobody else accidently stumbles into a scam or something.

By the way, your IP address is saying you're from the Philippines. I didn't know they sold F150s over there...
