No, I didn't go on one, but I saw one yesterday when studying at Barnes and Nobles. My girlfriend and I were both sitting at the starbucks tables and she goes, "They are so on a blind date". So I look and its a younger couple (about 18 ) and the dude is standing with hands in pockets. The chick (kinda cute) is ON THE PHONE, for like 10 minutes while this dude is just staring at spanish only books. They looked so uncomfortable...It brought up an old memory... When I was 18, some random girl IMed me on AIM. We got to talking but NEVER exchanged pictures. We had a few phone calls and eventually decided to meet at one of our malls. When we saw each other, we were both disappointed and uncomfortable. She just was not pretty. I mean, at 18, I'm breaking neck for any cute girl that walks by but I wouldn't have bothered with this one. I guess she didn't like what she saw either since she didn't seem impressed, I didn't really care either. Anyways, we're quiet the whole fucking time, we go to the fucking theater and we see fucking 2 Fast, 2 Furious. The whole movie blew and Paul Walker's shit performance made the night even more unbearable. We leave the theater and I tell her, "God, that movie sucked" and she said, "I loved it, I want it on DVD". We walk to the parking lot and just say Bye, never hearing from each other again. Thank god gas was decent back then or I would've been really mad. Now I'm pissed, post your damn blind date stories.

Nah, long distance dosen't work out. I have found that girls that are on vacation or travelling (the difference is vague) like to do kinky shit. For case in point see the gear heads thread. Also sometimes knowing they are only in town for the weekend or a couple weeks at most is great. On the other hand summer is almost over and then we get no tourists until ski/snowboard season starts. haha i've never really been on any blind dates. but i have an interesting story. my "friend"s (i say it in quotes because he was just a jerk from school but we kinda talked sometimes) g/f IMed me from his IM one day. we just started talking and talking some more. Clicked real easy. We met in person one day. She was freakin hot. Shortly after that, she broke up with that guy because he was an ass and I am a nice guy. she thought all guys were just asses like that. long story short, she is so fucked up and mixed up that so often she said she was going to be with me but at the last second, find another asshole guy that she claimed was different (of course they never were different). I moved on, married, divorced, and now am in a serious relationship of two and a half years. she ended up marrying one of her jerk b/f's and having 3 kids. she started talking to me again a couple months ago and did the same shit about wanting to be with me and going to leave her husband, ya know screwing with my emotions and stuff. it turned into and ugly thing and got me in trouble with my g/f (as my g/f thought i was cheating on her because this other girl kept talking to me). I broke all contact with this girl (threw away her numbers, deleted emails, myspace, etc) and haven't spoken to her since. She has tried to message me a couple times but I just ignore and delete. evidently, she did end up divorcing her husband. took a little while for my g/f to get over it but we're great now. it was actually a good growing experience for us. occasionally, i wonder how that other girl is doing and hoping she is doing better but it's definitely not worth the trouble. lesson for the day, screwed up girls aren't worth your time. run away!

So she's still tied up in your parents basement? I had one about a month ago, Sparky hear me rant about this chick on AIM. My friends gave me this girls number and we started talking, talked for a few days and then met up for dinner. She was smoking hot, not very smart though, and she was doing promoting for a club so people were texting her the whole time. We met up with her friends afterward and saw Kung Fu Panda. We Were hanging out for like a good 3-4 weeks, but she said "I don't want a relationship right now." Her Ex was a dick and cheated on her and all this other crap, so I was mellow about it. I was trying to walk the line between friend and dating, not a easy line to walk. Anyways then she sends me a text that she met someone and she doesn't know if she likes him. I told her to go for it on two counts 1) I am not going to marry this girl 2) I didn't think she would do it. Next thing I know she's sending me a text "We can't be friends because I'm in a relationship". She works at the starbucks in Safeway here so I go in to go shopping. She was working so I tell her that I am still going to stop by and say hi when she's working. About a week later I come in to pick up a cake for work and she's working. I go over there to say hi and the store manager comes over and goes "You coming into the store is making her uncomfortable and she has told you not to talk to her." I told her that I am just trying to be nice and friendly. So now I have her locked in my closet, she is starting to get used to the whip so I think I'm going to switch it up and start tasing her.

coleman, i said it is, but i still do it.. but not all the time should you spend money on entertainment, gotta let your date know you both can have a good night on the cheap or free. I go out of my way to try and find live free events, free nights at dance clubs, maybe a walk on the riverfront to waste time. Believe me, i got a deck of cards for having free fun on dates, but when it comes down to dining... lol, better have your little date money saved up.

Saw this girl on myspace and thought she was kinda cute, so we messaged alot exchanged more pictures and everything seemed to be going well. In retrospect the pictures were all very myspacey... weird overhead looking up shot,s sideways shots, yu know how they do it. Nothing like a straight on, this is me picture. Anyway, we exchange phone numbers and talk for a few weeks, turns into occasional phone sex too. We decide to meet, she's about an hour north of me. So we set a date and I drive up, we met at a local mall. I'm standing outside my car for about 5 mins when I see her vehicle (as she described it to me) pull in a few spaces away. she opens the door and ... blobs out. OMG big girl. I'm immediately discouraged, but shes happy as fuck. i felt kinda bad... I even had the idea to just jump back in my car and turn my phone off and drive home. So we go "putt putt" mini golf and walk around the mall. We did enjoy alot of the same things so on a non physical aspect it wasn't too bad. But omg big... After that we went and saw Silent hill in the theatre and then back to her place to play some halo 2. so we're laying on the bed watching late night comedy tv, when I'm like fuck it, i've invested my time tonight, might as well get something out of it. Long story short is she gave good head and didn't taste too bad. talked to her once on aim after that. heh.
I talk too much and let too many of my feelings known. If I ever had a blind date that was talking on the phone during the date, she would know about it and I'd be a good thing Barnes and Noble uses Starbucks w/ cardboard to go cups, b/c it would be /enddate faster than you can say "snob".
