like a scene out of a movie.

probably hired by some rich magnate from an island somewhere who also houses stolen art. ;)
this inspires me to watch a heist movie tonight.

Seems like it would be hard to cover one's trail regarding the choppa, paper-wise and radar-wise.

The chopper was stolen and you can fly below radar.

also, this is the kind of stuff swedish kids dream about (hell any kid really) I hope these guys never get caught, just for the sheer ballsiness/cool factor of it all.

LOL. I don't get it? Is there some kind of shortage of helicopters over there or something? Why not just commandeer a private/news chopper?

someone mentioned the Pink Panther gang at another site I visit.

could be the work of those guys.

Pink Panthers - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

They are well known for meticulously planned jewelry heists that usually involve vehicles, and get pretty creative with their heists. They also rarely get caught.
