Ok I know that this is noob , flame me, whatever but I need some quick help. I have these downloaded episodes of CSI that are very nice quality avi files and I want to get them to DVD. So I am using NERO, I have TMPGenc DVD Author, I have DVD Shrink, and I really don't want to spend any money on another program. I want to do this as legal as possible. How do I get my AVI files to DVD at a high quality for free?

Nero Vision seems cool, I got it for free on the NERO site, but I do have 1 question. On the menu, how can I make buttons that aren't squares. With my old program I could use photoshop files with a see through background. How can I make like lets say a doughnut shaped button that you can see through the doughnut to the background?

With winavi, you can turn avi to dvd or any format, with nero vision you can do same, just click advanced, customize, and use custom things for buttons and such

Well Im still having problems making "clear" or see through images for buttons on Nero Express. I got the help manuel, but it does not mention "see through buttons. I guess for now I'll just use NERO Visions export feature to turn the AVIs into MPEG 2 then I'll use my TMPGenc to author them.

If anybody knows a way that I can make see through menu buttons for Nero Vision then please help, that would be great! Thanks alot.

I know, it's not jail, or the law that I fear, It's a moral thing. I want to be obiediant to God, part of that is not to steal. The internet makes it sooo sooo sooo easy to disobey that, but I just need to do my best.

Amen brotha! Sorta the same logic I use. Everytime I see some nice, free piece of useful software on a torrent site, I ask myself, "What would Jesus do?". I promptly grab the torrent, finish the files, then share in the name of the father, son, and holy spirit.

Let's hold hands and sing Kumbaya sometime, you sound like a fun kid. :p

Don't get me wrong, It's not like I don't take advantage, but like if I wanna buy some new program, I'll Bit Torrent it, try it for a few weeks, and if it's worth my money I'll buy it legitly. I just try to draw a line at some point thats all.

    BTW Praise God!

    CSI is a TV show, isn't it? I don't think that's illegal.

reaver's got it right. You could and have undoubtably recorded a tv show that you had to miss. Thats what Im doing. If I want the whole season to keep forever on DVD, then yeah, I'll go buy it (unless it's like ALF or Gillagans Island since they don't sell those). But I just get the episodes I miss, or if a friend asks me to get them an episode then I'll do that too. I put them on DVD-RW. When I'm done watching, they get deleted. So this way I still get to see the show and I'm not ripping anyone off.
