LOL. There's been a lot of backlash online today which is bumming me out. Found this comment... a good summation IMO: I think the point that KONY 2012 is trying to make is that we have the power to get a cause heard and amplified across social networks. I have to give them credit for this – would people have heard about it otherwise? This so-called “Slacktivism” is the same reason Bank of America revoked their $5 fee for debit cards, the same reason GoDaddy stopped the support of SOPA, and a big reason why SOPA didn’t pass. So yes, it is lazy, but it is still making an impact. And to semi quote Harry Potter: "It comes down to whether or not you trust Invisible Children. I do; therefore, I believe in Kony2012."
Lol how can you not know about this, not only was it plastered all over my facebook, it's been hot topic on the news networks now due to the viral spread. Plus check out the comments on any YouTube video, everyone is all KONY2012! In even unrelated videos.
I posted a thread a couple days ago LOL. http://tweak3d.net/forums/showthread.php?60082-I-support-this
I have a tendency to avoid all video posts so that's why I ignored it. From what I've read the "non-profit" is a pretty shady organization that is not worth donating to. My buddy posted a pretty good link about this the other day: http://tumblr.thedailywh.at/post/18909727859/on-kony-2012-i-honestly-wanted-to-stay-as-far
Likewise. And lol @ namelessentity saying he ignores video posts. I do too. Unless it's something REALLY interesting, fuck if I have the attention span to sit and watch a 9 minute video. ADHD to the max.
