    All I can tell from my 3 semesters of Mandarin Chinese is that I have no idea what it means.

    Saying that, if you don't what they mean, why do you want it as a tattoo (if the assumption was correct)? There are over 6000 characters in the chinese language and plenty of them look cooler than those.

    there should be an online application that lets you upload black and white images of scriptures, it'll scan the image, and report back the translation.

    Thats a good point man. I bet they got software for that. For a while i been trying to get my hand on some softwares used in forensic science like facial recognition, software for comparison whether its faces or writing or finger prints. Be fun to play with those software. The real ones are way too expensive or only for GOVT use.

    hmm, not really inspired by the trip, although there i was remembered that i wanted to do that. i saw this in some movie and liked the idea, although i've been hating chinese tattoos forever.
    anyway, i want something for myself, not to show off. i was thinking about the insides of my wrists.

    btw, it's supposed to read "bravery" and something like "vital force" (don't know what the correct english word is, but something like this)
