I say Hillary Clinton will win Ohio and Texas and the Democratic nomination because she has the advantage of being an insider. I could be wrong but I doubt it.

    What say you?

I hope Clinton will win, and then I don't. The longer the Dems battle the better it is for the Republicans. Hillary winning the nomination would be good for the Republicans. But I don't care much for McCain and sorta want a shakeup. Not to mention I think Obama could potentially be a good president. At least for the two days between the inauguration and the assassination. :D

I hope Obama wins it all. I'm tired of having a Clinton/Bush in the White House and McCain just seems too incompetent. Every time I see him in the media it's more of a  situation where he has to eat his words and whatnot. I liked when he said that there are areas in Baghdad where you and I can walk freely like he did.....with 100 soldiers surrounding him, 3 Blackhawk helicopters, and 2 Apache gunships. That just screams denial about how bad the war is going. No thanks.

I liked McCain back in the day when he was a Maverick, now he seems so...tired. :(

McCain from Angry Young Man to Cranky Old Man! :D

I'm betting The Barackinator and Hillorizilla (great sketch of Hillorizilla laying waste to the City of Obama in Japan!) will split the vote in both Ohio and Texas.

I think the republican media machine is just sitting back waiting on the Obama nomination. I listen to talk radio in the car going to work (five channels of strip bar music is my only alternative) and Micheal Medved played a tape of Obama himself saying he didn't have the experience to be President. It was made less than two years ago. That will make for a great commerical, probably already shot waiting to be aired. I can imagine what else they have up their sleeves. Also, the problme with some young voters is they love the bumber stickers and t-shirts but seem to be too busy on Nov 4 to vote. I said some not all.

having no experience versus having experience i dont think has any relevance in this election race. this is why obama is outright saying that, because hes certain that experience or not doesnt matter.

    only sheepheads think it matters.

Seriously, how the fuck would experience not matter? At least some sort of leadership (and I'm talking heading a committee, heading a (large) bill, that sort of thing, not necessarily executive experience.) would be great, considering, uh, um, ya know - they have to LEAD a whole country.

I live in by far the most liberal city in Texas (probably in the South), and it seems to be leaning very, very heavily towards Obama here. Granted, a lot of the supporters are young (the city is also very activist), but it seems to be that way across the state from what relatives and friends tell me. Hilary being a woman is really fucking her here.

Technically they both lose by virtue of being democrats.

The problem with Hillary's "experience" argument is that we all remember what that experience was, with all the lawyer-like obfuscations and dealings in the White House.

Person with experience to run the Country - Herbert Hoover.
    Inexperienced newcomer - Abraham Lincoln.
Considered a Political lightweight - Theodore Roosevelt

I'm not saying that the arguments going are wrong or right, I'm saying experience of some sort is a good thing.

Only sheepheads think it doesn't matter (WTF is a sheephead? seriously?)

I'm guessing that it's going to a split. Clinton winning the nomination is probably the worst thing that will happen to the party. I believe that most Clinton supporters would have no problem voting for Obama in the main election, but I don't think many Obama supporters feel the same way about Clinton.

It's definitely going to be an interesting evening.

I don't get the graphic. Obviously it's a funny Republican monster (perhaps a cousin of the FSM), but what does "CTHULHU" stand for?

The bottom line is Hillary, Obama and McCain will be mostly more of the same old shit. Hillary is just another rich white person with political ties to all kinds of people and places, and won't do anything new for the Democratic Party. Obama is really not that different, but has a different marketing plan for himself. No matter what he does, and it won't be anything revolutionary, won't be much different than any other Democrat. Then McCain. Another 4 years of ruining our country after the last 8? Sign me up!

The fact is nearly all signs point to the Democrats winning: the economy, the war, the Bush approval rating, and so on. For McCain to win it would be against most all historical trends.

Which is not to say it can't happen, but I don't see a single person excited about a McCain presidency, so where are the huge numbers coming from who are supposed to get him elected?

Those things also applied in 2004 and look who won? I dunno. Me personally I really don't feel too strongly either way, but if I had to place a $50 wager right now it would be on McCain. I fear you're going to be shocked and surprised come November.

I just dread the bitching and moaning. Obama or Clinton bumper stickers for the next 8 years...

My buddy saw a car recently that had a Dole sticker on one side and Kerry sticker on the other! That guy actually changed party to follow the losers.
