I'm a big android fan. I will admit it's not quite as refined as the iphone OS but it's still a close 2nd IMHO. It has many other advantages over the iphone to me that make it a better choice.

anyways, I have the T-Mobile G1. I have it rooted and using the Cyanogenmod ROM. Makes the G1 faster, as well as the ability to use some other apps that can't be used when not rooted. So i know there are some other android users here. What apps do you use? Here are the ones installed on mine:

-AK Notepad - simple notepad app
-androidVNC - VNC client. rarely use but it's about as good as it can possibly be when doing it on a small screen.
-ASTRO - must have folder/file manager
-Barcode Scanner - neat app to scan barcodes on products and android barcodes
-CardioTrainer - good app to use if you do cardio outdoors or on a track.
-Cherry Rplayer - cheesy name but the best radio app I've found so far. and by radio i mean FM radio
    -craigsphone - craigslist app
    -ebuddy - multi-client IM
    ExFlashlight - simple flashlight app
    -Facebook - enough said
-GDocs - app that syncs with your Google Docs
    -Google Voice - enough said
-gTasks - app that syncs with Google Tasks
-Handcent Sms - text/mms replacement. much more powerful and customizable than the built in one
-HellTXTroid - HellTXT app to post status updates over multiple social networking sites
-i Music - app to download free music
-Key Ring - store those pesky little key cards you get from every store on the planet
    -Google Listen - podcast listener/downloader
-Flixter - good movie finder app
    -Myspace - enough said
-NewsRob - syncs with Google Reader
-OI Shopping List - good list app
    -Quickpedia - Wikipedia app
-RemoteDroid - use the phone as a mouse/keyboard for your computer
-RoboDefense - the classic addicting game
    -Skype - enough said
    -Solitaire - eough said
-SportsTap - good sports app to show sports scores, news, ect.
    -TasKiller - app/process manager/killer
    -Weather Channel - enough said
    -Twidroid - twitter app
    - Walkie Talkie Plus - app to simulate walkie talkie, not too bad actually
-Wireless Tether (rooted app only) - can make the phone a mobile wireless hotspot. Comes in handy quite often
-XBMC Remote - remote control and more to control XBMC. This thing is a godsend for me

So ya, that's what I currently have installed. I can gladly give you more info on them if you ask. If you have any to add, post them up! I'm always looking for new apps.

I'm going to replace ExFlashlight with DroidLight, you can use the camera LED as a flashlight.
