What happened to the good ol days where a simple install of PS only resulted in ONLY ps being installed.. sheesh.. now you're forced to accompany it with bridge, help, imageready, updater.. can someone point me to a good tutorial on how to remove this shit??? i havent gone all the way through the uninstall process in add/remove to see if i can pick things to remove.. i dont wanna give it a try and it end up uninstalling it completely.. also, any methods to block photoshop from updating or accessing the internet??
Firewall? Are you running Vista? If not, get used to that kind of shit before you change over. If all the security shit is left on, the OS is practically unusable.
windows Firewall or something like zonealarm can blacklist stuff. Getting rid of the rest of the shit - you might be shit out of luck on a lot of it, I'm willing to bet it will break stuff if you remove stuff like updater and bridge. Adobe is bloated as fuck now. Its nice if you're installing the whole suite, but otherwise...
I know I'm skirting a delicate issue here, but a lot of versions of Photoshop can be retrieved without the BS, if you know where to look.
if you use the torrents and have an account on demonoid there is a rip there by serpent0r....it's a complete adobe cs3 lite master collection....you can just uncheck all the other bullshit when you go to open the torrent and grap only cs3 which is like 70 mb or something and can run off a usb key is you like. ive been using it for a couple of weeks now and its great...no install no serial no crack none of that crap. before this rip i used photoshop cs2 lite same release and i used it for over a year. good luck Jaz
I think I can tell you how to remove them. Find your Photoshop folder. for ex. Mine "E:\Pictures\Photoshop" Then locate the "HELP" Files and anything else you want deleted, While clicking hold control to select alla t once, and then when you delete hit the shift key to skip the recycle bin, and just completely make them go pooof. *If any mistakes or wrongness occurs from this I hold myself not responsible, it is under you choice to attempt.*
