i feel like a little kid again gahdammit! i get it every winter! This time around its fucking hurting like hell, like i got a shard of glass stuck in my cornea with gasoline being poured into my eye.. I usually get it from not keeping my contacts clean enough.. Then to top that off, i almost blacked out in the shower this morning.. Upon washingmy hair i began to feel this exhausting tremble through my body, falling weakly, and losing my hearing.. I muster some energy to crawl out of the shower to sit on the toilet.. and shit got weird, like i was high or something, i just sat there like, wtf and breathed slowly until everything came back to me. Never experienced that before. I hadnt eaten or drank anything in the past 1 1/2 days so maybe that was it. so with the winter season here, wash your hands and keep your fingers out of your eyes.. keep your contacts clean and dont sleep in them! anyone here get the pink eye??
I don't get pink eye, but I get an ear infection every winter without fail. I get a cold and then my ear starts to hurt just as I'm getting over it. Every FUCKING year. I'm in the middle of my annual cold right now so I'm stocking up on ear drops and cotton buds in preperation.
I've had pink eye a few times. It's generally just a regular cold / sinus infection that moves into the mucous membrane lining the ocular of the eye. Very few are actually bacterial. But it's funny you should mention it, I had a nightmare last week that I had some turbo version of pink eye called "bloody pink eye". It was a fucked up dream...
I've only had it a few times. Worst part is when you wake up and your eye is crusted shut, and you have to chisel the crust off to open it, hahaha. Sorry man
No shit, never go a day without eating! Chicken broth or soup at the very least, even if you're throwing up sick you have to try. Unless you really like hospitals and IV bags.
I've never had it. I've noticed women seem to get it more often, maybe since they're always putting make-up around their eyes? My older sister used to get it once every year or two years. She also got strep a lot, so maybe they were related.
only had it once during field week. where we couldn't shower or anything. i got dirt in my eye, and as much as i tried to cry it out, the dirt was still irritating the shit out of my eye. So, I broke down and wiped my closed eye with the back of my thumb. next morning, woke up with pink eye. sucked balls. i feel for you man. i'll ask a corpsman what they usually prescribe for pink eye. I know it's just regular eyedrops, but it's always a particular brand. using those regularly, I kicked it in 3-4 days. visine might help, but i think it's these particular eye drops that help...
I've had pink eye once about a little over 2 years ago now. I remember getting it, just like that. Was sitting at the girlfriends place (at the time she was my gf) and this spec of dust or something flew into my eye. Things got blurry in the said eye and before you know it I was trying to rub it out. Got itchy real quick and by the next morning when I was at work it was completley blood shot. Soooo nasty, puss coming out of it in the morning and the possibility that you can infect your other eye. Eye cleaner does nothing, eye drops barely help, in the end I went to the doctor and he gave me some anti-biotic eye drops or some shit, and within a day or so it was much better. Took them for a week I think and everything went back to normal. Its fucking cats man, dirty litter boxes and cats, that shit flys around in the air just looking to infect an innocent eye!!!!!!
