    1) Safari running 5 tabs (1 is tweak).
    2) transcoding a 1080P 24F 10 minute clip to H.264 @ 720P.
    3) uploding to YouTube 1.5 Gig Video.
    4) Mail is running.
    5) Listening to iTunes

    ....many other background apps running.

    358% CPU for FCP (I cant use Compressor for the file format I'm using otherwise it would be at 600%+), 8 minute transcodes to H.264 and full speed browsing/music.

    BTW it's 8 core so full load would be 800% theoretically but it goes over that because each core is itself hyper-threading.

    Never had a page out (swap file).

    I like Safari though. To me, it's pretty close to being my perfect browser...

    Fahrenheit. ;) The hottest parts are the dual 4870 HD Radeons (no temp reading listed) but they exhaust straight out the back which is good. I'm guessing 160-170F each. I don't have a thermometer handy but it's quite hot.

    Wow, you ate t3h smart. Has nothing to do with the browser but the OS it runs on... Firefox is just as secure to threats as Safari is on OS X Leapord....

    I have Caucasian Hammer's old Macbook at my house. We were prepping it to sell, but I've been away from home a lot this summer and he's been working almost every day. He's at work now, but you should PM him if you're serious. I know he was willing to cut Tweak a bro-deal.
