Couldn't say it any better. I like Tomlin, I hate the rest of those fuckers. Being a semi-gambling man, I wouldn't do that bet. I'm guessing the line will open around 6 and teh O/U will be around 38. Me and a few friends figure Pittsburgh should win this one even though the Cards are on a roll. The worst thing I have to see is that my Skins beat the Eagles and Cards handily but sucked down the stretch. Edit: if the line opens with a double digit fav, put your house on the underdog. I should have the past few years and I would've won but I just wasn't confident enough.
Steelers are the fucking bomb and Troy Polamalu is the best safety in the league, sorry Mister Reed. Reed may have more interceptions returned for TDs, but Polamalu is in the mix every play, not just in the backfield. not to take away from Ed Reed, seeing how he's easily a Hall of Famer, but I just can't say he's a better safety. That being said, it was a pretty good game, even with that total bullshit roughing the punter call. Hooray Super Bowl number seven. If the Ravens would have won, I would have cheered for them; AFC North woo. I wish the Ravens hadn't had so many injuries; the game would have been much closer. I also would have liked to see a Steelers-Eagles Super Bowl, but c'est la vie. Oh geez, I hate great football teams too. Why all the Steeler hate? Damn. On an unrelated note: I love the fleaflicker the Cards pulled; we used to do that when Whisenhunt was in Pittsburgh. I like him, and I'm really glad he made it to the Super Bowl.
Got Roethlisberger? I have a black T with that slogan. GO STEELERS!!! P.S. I don't actually like Football. I enjoy the Superbowl because it gives me a reason to eat like a fool, drink, and hang out with friends.
You've got balls. Warner and Fitzgerald are hot, but that Steelers D could really put a damper on that. Nobody's really noticed how well Roethlisberger's been playing either. Just sayin'.
Based on history (i'd have to look it up) the underdog has done well in SB recently. Couple that with warm weather, plenty of time for AZ to adjust to time differences, Whisenhunt knows Pitt and the fact they've been hot -- I see the Cards keeping it close if not winning at the end of the game.
i stopped paying attention after the chargers were thrown out (not that i really cared to begin with, but it's hard not to get caught up in the hubbub when you're dating into a football family)
This guy might have something to say about that. ... and this guy. Oh, this guy too. Throw Dick LeBeau in there too and see what happens. Not to mention the best defense they've played all year has been the Eagles. You watch and see how they handle the best defense the NFL has seen in the past twenty years. I'm not saying it's going to be a blowout, but I'm saying that it will be incredibly difficult for the Cards to win. And as for the underdogs winning the Super Bowl, Pittsburgh won in 2005 vs the Seahawks. I don't believe they were underdogs there.
Underdogs *covering* not winning. Don't discount the hot team like NYG was last year. Pitt can't score points to save their life.
who cares, college football is where its at that being said, cards, bet my gf a bj, she wants the steelers
I'll see if I can find it but on 1530am (sports talk), they found a CL ad saying that if the man lost the bet on an NFL game that he'd have to orally pleasure a man.
Except for the last three games where they haven't scored less than 23 points, with the 23 points being against the number two defense in the league. Hm.
Uh just an FYI - they played a crappy SD defense and they scored one whole offensive TD against Baltimore. What a juggernaut!
