    So where does someone get an LS1 Vette (totalled or not) AND a Civic for under $1000? Sure sounds like bullshit to me.

    He said he got the civic for free. If you read, he sold it to someone for what he bought it for, they started the project, gave up and gave it back to him. And he's probably got connections on the 'vette. If you know people prices go way down.

    Agreed.

    The vette frame and engine sell for around 10k on ebay all the time. I know it said the frame was bent but the tranny and engine and torque tube and all suspension was still good since he is obviously using it.

    my old boss put a ls1 engine/drivetran in an old 30's chrystler coupe. swapped the whole interior too
