Test results

The sound was evaluated on the following games and programs:

Unreal (A3D)
Jedi Knight (A3D)
WinAmp
Several MIDIs

Other games and programs


Tested with three different sound cards:
Diamond Monster Sound MX200
Shark Predator 3D - PCI
Creative Labs Sound Blaster 16 PNP

For the most part, the sound was very good. The only complaint I had about the following games was the sound did not sound as "sharp" as my Cambridge SoundWorks speakers. At high volumes, the sound was fuzzy and distorted with the Platinum Sound, but very clear with the SoundWorks. Overall, the quality was much better than I expected, and I was very impressed.
