Introduction

H3D takes on a whole new meaning when the product is the Metabyte Wicked3D WickedVision eyewear. With support for over 150 of the newest (and old) OpenGL/Direct3D/Glide games, compatibility is no longer an issue. The only problem is, you need a Wicked3D board to accompany the glasses if you want this support.

The glasses work by blocking out one eye at a time using an LCD screen, triggered by the transmitter that rests on top of your monitor. At first I wasn't exactly thrilled by the concept, but after checking these out I was impressed.

Installation

The only installation that needs to be done is to configure the Wicked3D display properties and calibrate the glasses to your liking. Very simple...

These things are cool, but seriously kids, don't go overboard. Taking these things outside might result in a serious beatdown. I hear from Chris @ Purified3D that all the kids in Canada are wearing them to school though... go figure.

(sorry Chris, you had that one coming)
