I don't know why I thought of it, but I was just curious as to why the vietnamese were called zipperheads?
Coined by US soldiers during Korean War because if Asians are shot in the head with high powered weapons, their heads would split as if you unzipped them.
And this is, of course, a unique characteristic of the asian race Thanks for the interesting info though.
i'm still trying find a derogatory term for koreans so I can make use of it on a daily basis that zipperhead thing applies to every race though.
Couldn't you call Koreans "gooks", or is that for a particular Asian nation? If not just make one up. How about "Kim Dongs"?
Wouldn't it be better to generalize them to the point of calling all asians gooks be the best approach? I mean, it does insult more when you call a vietnamese person chinese, etc.
I believe gook applies to both Vietnamese and Koreans. The Chinese are affectionalely referred to as chinks and the Japanese get the term slant, and in some cases, just the term "jap' will be enough to anger them into getting all ninja on your ass. Charlie was the term used by the US troops for the Vietcong. Vietcong = Victor Charles = Charlie.
