Well my 2 yugo sks projects are done !! fully restored and one is modified ! i had to bring these babies back to life because they were caked in cosmoline and one of them had rust. here they are let me know what you think
Looking at those makes me want to move into the woods and... well I don't know. Lol, they look good. I don't know what else to say, I've never even shot a gun.
Whoa dude, they turned out pretty good! That modded one is sweet. I don't think I'd have done anything different if I were to mod one out. Good work.
I'm so happy how the modded one came out. It just feels perfect in my arms. Here is a break down of all the costs i got from point A to point B Original Cost for 2 Yugo sks's.... $139 each Modifications for 1 gun............ $160 So roughly the total for what you see above was about $440 Not to shabby for 2 rifles. oh and did i mention i bought 1000 rounds of ammo for about 160 bucks as well My next gun is either going to be a ruger .22 or an AR-15. I'm also in the process of getting my hand gun permit so i'll have a few of those as well.
Awesome, th Yugo SKS is the best one to have. Something about having either a chrome lined or heavier barrel. oh and the TOTALLY bitchin' bayonet. Way to go.
I always liked the sks rifles, and everytime I see yours integra I always get envious. They're just so damn hard to get up here haha That looks like one of those ATI stocks, it actually looks pretty good on the SKS. the pictures of just the stock I see on the buying websites looks like ass, but like I said, it does look pretty damn good. I bought some ATI pistol grips for my shotty, I'll tell you that the material that its made of, a type of glass nylon or something, is literally indestructable, heh.. It will defenitly last you forever. *EDIT* Yo, you need a bipod for that sks, and if you already have one, show us a picture of it attached, would love to see it sitting on a table with some cool angle shots in high res!
i don't have a bipod just yet i may acquire one. i also don't think i have any before pictures unfortunatly
That synthetic stock is pimp, I plan on getting one similar for mine. But riddle me this Batman - is it just me or is the 7.62 x 39 ammo getting really expensive? I used to be able to get it for less than 10 cents a shot (90-100 bucks per 1000), now is $160, $170, and more...
I guess the surplus that north america's been getting for cheap is starting to run out? Isn't the standard rifle round for russia the 5.56X39 now? I can still get czech shit for about 17cents a shot. Then again it might be your area?
