I'm allergic to any form of corn syrup (HFCS, regular, and solids). It does horrible things to my body. If I have any of it all of my joints start to ache and my neck starts twitching (similar to tourette's tics). I really wish food manufacturer's would figure out a way to make their food taste good and last without it. Going grocery shopping sucks so much. Things as simple as ketchup cost 2-3 times more than regular would since I have to buy organic. Unless I'm in a city, shopping is near impossible. The only good thing to come out of me developing my allergy (at 22) is that my family has become more aware of corn syrup's effects on the body so they now read ingredient labels and have cut it out of their diets.
