I haven't played in probably 6-8 months and I intend to keep it that way. Do I miss it? Sure. And I wasn't even one that played tons. But it was still time consuming. There is just something about leveling that makes you want to keep playing. If they took off the levels, then I wouldn't feel like I "had" to play. At this point in my life, I don't really have time to play it anyways.
I tried it again to see what was new in the Lich King expansion. I play 2-3h per week max, so I keep the crack in check. I still play my pally. Damn they buffed the builds. Now you can do decent damage with a retribution pally. Not only auto attack and snoring.
i haven't played since Lich King came out. I want to so I can see the new stuff but I know if I start, I'll want to play more and I just don't have the time to do so.
I haven't played since around Arena season 2 (between Lich and BC add-ons). I'd consider playing again, but don't know how I'd find the time. If there was a mass T3D re-roll I'd be game though.
I've been playing EVE-Online recently, because you can pay for the game with in-game money. I'd had the itch to start playing WoW again and my best friend sends me a message 3 days ago that asks, "You busy?" I reply that I'm not, and the next message contains a 60-day GTC and the WotLK CD-Key that he bought me so he doesn't play alone in his wow addiction. Asshole got me hooked again
lmao that's funny that he bought you time on WoW. Ya it would be too hard not to play if someone bought it for me. So EVE doesn't have a traditional monthly fee? You can pay for it with in-game money? How does that work. I may try it out if it doesn't cost anything.
I played for a year. It got old fast. I think the only people who can play that game for more than a year are there because those are the only friends they have.
Great first post, I'm sure everyone will like you here if you start off telling us we have no friends. Also, WoW is a great game. Sorry you played for a year and didn't come to that conclusion...
I'm disgusted with WoW right now. I haven't played in several days and I'm skipping out on all of my guild raids. Fuck 'em...they want to hold me in my computer chair from 9am to 2pm M, W and F. I'll play again if I get bored but I'm more tied up with school and studies than putting hours back into WoW. I feed the gaming addiction with Skate 2 and AOE3 on the side now.
Most of my friends IRL picked it up. There's about 7 of us playing on Uther. I have a 60 druid and a 68 Death Knight. I play a lot, but I don't have shit else to do, so I don't really feel guilty about it.

We can pick a server where someone has a lvl 70-80 and have them run the rest through the instances/quests/etc... muhahahaha
You can purchase 2 types of items to pay for your account (using in-game money). The first are PLEX (30 day Pilots License EXtensions). They extend your game time by 30 days, but follow the in-game rules of normal items. What this means is you can be Scammed out of your money, your cards, or anything else just like in-game (Scamming makes alot of people very rich and it is not regulated or stopped by CCP. Almost all scamming is a "working" game mechanic, so you're at risk just like in real-life.) The second type of item is your standard 60 day GTC that you can purchase on the forums. CCP has a secure way of buying these and they can NOT be scammed. If you end up being scammed then CCP will severely punish the person who scammed you. Only problem is coming up with the money. PLEX's are 30 day cards and sell for roughly 325 million ISK. 60 day GTC's sell for 600-700 Million. my horde avatars are on Uther, my alliance on Turalyon. I never did ever raid so that would be kinda fun to try. Lord help me if you people start a tweak3d guild and make me play again lol. interesting stuff about eve though. might have to give it a shot someday.
I played when it first came out for about a year, casually. Hit 60 and quit shortly after. I didn't have nor want to find the time to invest in the raiding scene. The world they created was super fun to explore though. I will probably play Blizzard's next MMO. But this will be casual again and with a group of friends from the start.
I've also found a way to balance real life and WoW BS. I play an 80 DK on my cousins server (Kil'jaeden - Alliance... I've played Horde for 3 years) and I've been having fun playing casually. There really aren't anymore "hardcore, time consuming" aspects to the game.
